Peru Trip 2012

Peru Trip!

Oh My Gosh Peru was such an amazing place! I could never truly put into words the experiance that i had in Peru, but i will try!

The scenery in Cusco was beautiful beyond words, pictures dont do it justice! And to go there from the United States is such a culture shock, everything there is so different! The people I met and stayed with that my Husband knew in his mission were some of the most wonderful people i have come to know in my lifetime. Carmen, Rosa and their families were so kind to us. The traditional Peruvian food that Carmen made for us was SO yummy! some of the bust food that has ever graced my mouth! I got the recepies so i'm gonna try hard to bring this deliciousness to my friends and family at home! Emmit had a great time too! Everyone looooved my little Gingo baby and he did surprisingly well on the trip.

All in all it was an amazing time had by all and i look forward to my next visit there!

So Much in So Little Time!!!!!

Well its been a while since our last post but here's what's been going on! First off Emmit now has both bottom teeth!!!!!!! He got his first one (left bottom) on 8-3-11, i noticed it when feeding emmit some food that morning. He has also stared crawling, standing and says mamamamammaa, dadadadada, raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, bababababa and meny other sounds!!!! He has become quite the chatter box!! Lastly I have tought Emmit how to high five!!!! Which is pretty awsome if i do say so myself. As far as Jason and i go we are as happy as ever! Jason is working hard at his job and his family while i take care of both my boys. We are also preparing to close on our new house and start a new and exciting chapter of our lives!

So last night (June 7th) we gave Emmit his first baby food! But he didn’t take it so well. I gave him the suggested serving from the box which was 1 tbls rice to 4-5 tbls formula. Well it was really watery and Emmit did not take it so well. I also had him in his Bumbo chair which he also did not like. Then i moved him to the bedroom and propped him up on some pillows which he liked better but the cereal still not so much. Then this morning i tried again, but momma's way! So i made it a little thicker and added a bit of carrot for flavor. At first he was like "what the crap are you trying to feed me mom?" which later turned to "hmmm this stuff isn’t so bad after all." And he ate it all.... mostly.

Haircut Failure

So last night (June 5) i tried to give my husband a haircut. Two hours later i was mostly finished and his hair was looking pretty good till i tried to trim Jason's sideburns... well i used clippers to do that and it shaved off a little more then i expected it too.... In the end after 2 hours of trying to give Jason a descent haircut i ended up having to give him a 5 minuet buzz... Oh well better luck next time :)

Emmit's First Sporting Event

Saturday June 4th Emmit went to his first Baseball game with his tia G, Nona, Grandpa, Mama and Daddy. It was a really good time, his Nona and Grandpa i think had the most fun being able to take Emmit to his first game. Emmit got to be on the jumbotron for his 6 seconds of fame. He was also good luck for the team seeing as the pitcher threw 7 scoreless innings and the D-Backs won againts the Nationals 3 to 0.

Emmit's First Bath

I gave Emmit (what i refer to as) his first official bath!!! He loved it so much!! he was kicking the water and having a grand old time! so much in fact that he was getting me wet! and i was outside the tub!!! Oh the messes i see him making in the future! Today i him a bubble bath today wich he seemed to enjoy even more!

I cant belive its been over a year since Jason and I got married!! And it has been nothing but wonderful!  So YaY us! and we look forward to meny more years of happy memories together.
